Your womb is a creative force of nature. A space that amplifies your body’s intuition & our deep inner knowing. The womb embodies the feminine in all her forms-Maiden, Mother & Crone. She undergoes many death & rebirths, as she creates, nurtures & destroys in the physical realm of our bodies.

This cycle is mirrored in our monthly menstruation cycle as women & allows for growth & regeneration. In menopause she crystallizes-harnessing this wisdom internally, no longer needing to undergo any physical changes because she now embodies them internally on a more subtle level.

No matter our age or sex, the archetypes of Maiden, Mother & Crone & the Life-Death-Life Cycle of the Womb can illuminate our experience of these natural cycles of growth, decay, death & new life. We can (& must) learn to harmonize with the rhythms of the Earth to come back into inner alignment.

Our intelligence lies in our wild nature-our intuition—the part of us that cannot be sanitized & sterilized & hidden away. One aspect of this profound inner connection is housed within our womb space. This space is often blocked from expereinces of domestication, neglect, being afraid of our sexual power & disowning it or misusing it, being told we are crazy for feeling deeply, never learning how to listening to our body’s signals & ignoring or overriding our cyclical nature.

The womb is also a chalice that holds emotions, memories & trauma. Men, trans & non-binary people also hold a womb space energetically & can store trauma in their pelvic area (sacral chakra). When this occurs, your sacral chakra starts to shut down or becomes overactive. In both cases you are numbing your pain & discomfort-either by shutting down or by looking outside yourself for distractions.

Holding/blockages in the womb can show up as period issues, cysts, endometriosis, an inability to conceive children or to give birth to your dreams, an over or under-active sex drive, tight hips, tight psoas, jaw tension, &/or the inability to embrace pleasure.

Womb Wisdom involves several practices that nurture the powerful, creative capability that is your womb space. Learning how to clear your womb space & tend to her allows you to practice deep listening & respect for the messages received. You begin to clear what isn’t yours to carry. You nurture her, honour the wisdom of her cyclical nature & follow her rhythms. You allow yourself to receive the medicine of deep rest every month—the sacred pause that births new life.
